How Our Network Works

Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent HVAC provider in our network. This site has no repair crew and no staff waiting at your door. The person on the line works for the provider, and the provider does the work.
What Happens on the Call
Expect a few simple questions. They help the provider understand the problem and decide if they can help.
- What is the system doing, or not doing?
- Where is the unit, and how old is it?
- Where is your home?
- When would a visit suit you?
Some providers can respond quickly. Others may be booked for a while. Availability changes by provider and by season, so Request a callback to check provider availability.
Safe First Steps Before You Call
Do:
- Turn the system off at the thermostat if you smell gas, smoke, or burning
- Leave the home and contact your gas utility if you smell gas
- Check that the thermostat has power and the right settings
Do not:
- Open electrical panels on equipment or touch wiring
- Relight a furnace pilot you do not understand
- Ignore water pooling around a unit
What to Ask a Provider
Good questions protect your wallet and your home. Ask:
- Are you licensed and insured for this work in my area?
- Is there a charge for the visit, and what does it cover?
- Can I get a quote in writing before work starts?
- What could change the price once you open the unit?
- Is the repair covered by a warranty, and for how long?
Quote in writing is the rule. A fair provider will not mind being asked.
You Are in Control
Talking to a provider does not commit you to anything. You can ask for several quotes, take time to compare, or decline. If someone pressures you to decide on the spot, that is worth noticing.
